This here's an experiment, a way to document thoughts and pictures, a way to communicate in a way that feels less scattered, more intentional, and more intimate. Let me know if it works.
October rolled in while I was celebrating Henri's birthday with a visit to Terlingua, Texas area.
Terlingua is nestled between Big Bend Nat'l and State parks, and right above the Rio Grande and the border of Mexico.
"When I go, do me like they did old Edward"
Terlingua is an old mining town where they mined cinnabar, the mineral in which mercury is most often found. After World War II the demand dried up, so it became sparsely populated.
Quiet. Lots of empty space.
We popped out around Lajitas, Texas at the Rio Grande river and US-Mexico border, weirdly unmonitored.
You can see storms coming from miles away, and the sunrises are quite spectacular.
We stayed in an off-grid one-room cabin that was Tombstone-themed.
We set up shop to try and make some extra cash from the attendees of the first weekend of Austin City Limits.
