I follow the Double Diamond design process using Agile methodologies.
This means that before any designs are ideated, I ensure I'm solving for the correct problem by conducting research on a target user base. This ensures that I'm designing the right thing before I try to design things right.
The design phase (2nd diamond) is a process of ideation that creates potential solutions to the defined problem, then prioritizing which solution is the most viable for the user and all stakeholders involved. This phase, ideally, involves rapid iteration and deployment to receive real-time feedback from actual users.
